The food was great and we enjoyed our vegetarian options. The program was planned with a bunch of activities such as kayaking, swimming, climbing, and caving. There are similar activities to other boats such as cooking class, Happy Hour, Taichi. Staff was excellent. However, the ship was a bit run down and the room could be cleaner.
The staff and food were exceptional. The cruise also served vegetarian food. Our cabin was spacious with a small balcony. The view from the bedroom was spectacular. Tony was the best host. He was very kind and made us feel at home. We skipped the Surprise cave tour since we cannot hike and just stayed on the boat to relax. The sampan boat at Luon Cave was nice. The island was full of tourists yet we still could take a deep dip in the water to cool down the heat and sunbathe on the beach.
Victory Star Cruise provided good service on Halong Bay. The team was attentive and friendly. The ship was not fully occupied on our trip date so we felt very relaxed and were very well taken care of by staff. The food was superb. The cave was extraordinary and the island with a beach offered lovely swimming. The spa onboard was nice, too.
Nothing to complain about the trip. Although the ship is aged and some furniture needs renovation, we had a value-for-money trip. The cabin was neat and comfortable. The staff was excellent. Highly recommended!
This is a perfect getaway you should try. We had 2 nights on Victory Star. The bay was gorgeous and there were a variety of activities and excursions. Kayaking on the second day was the best. Luon Cave was also nice for kayaking yet it was more crowded. Titop Mountain had a wonderful viewpoint. We love the food onboard very much. Thank you for your great service and experience!
The food was pretty good and the staff was nice. However, we needed more drinking water for complimentary. 2 bottles of water per room has never been enough, especially in summer. Also, the waiting at the port was long and we did not even cruise for 24 hours.
We had an amazing experience! The ship is well equipped and clean. The staff was kind and took care of us well. Food was varied yet of average quality. The tour of the cave and island was very nice. The steps were a bit hard but the view from the top of the mountain was definitely worth it.
