Ngoc Vung Island translates to 'Luminescent Pearl Island' in English. The island earned its name because, according to local lore, a rare and treasured species of pearl was once abundant in the waters surrounding Ngoc Vung Island. The story depicts a time when the quantity of pearl oysters was so immense that the seas glimmered with the light of these pearls.

Location
Ngoc Vung Island is located approximately 34 kilometers from Bai Chay, featuring the notable Van Xuan Mountain and 2 kilometers of pristine white sandy beaches. The ideal way to explore the beauty of Ngoc Vung is by cycling. Visitors can effortlessly ride around the crescent-shaped island, soaking in the local lifestyle. For overnight stays, there are now several accommodations available, including two hotels.
