Tam Cung Cave: A Guide To The "Three-palace" Cave
This cave, commonly referred to as the Three-Palace Cave, is nestled in the heart of Halong Bay, approximately 5 kilometers from Sung Sot Cave. It is situated on the stunning May Den Island, renowned for its breathtaking vertical cliffs and verdant forests.
The cave, as its alternative name implies, is divided into three distinct sections. The first section captivates visitors with enchanting sounds. The way the wind flows through the cave, coupled with the echoes of the rocky formations, creates a unique auditory experience. From the ceiling, one can admire a stalactite formation that resembles a delicate stone flower garden.
As you venture into the second chamber of the cave, you will encounter formations that evoke the shapes of various animals. Often described as a "fairy space," this section resembles a magical castle. Additionally, a gentle stream winds through this area, further enriching the imaginative atmosphere of the cave.
In the third and final chamber, visitors can behold numerous naturally formed sculptures. Many have likened these formations to sleeping elephants, flowers, and a variety of other shapes.
