Bo Nau Cave: A Guide To The "Pelican" Cave

Bo Nau Cave, also known as “Pelican Cave,” is situated approximately 13 km from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf in the southwestern region of Halong Bay. The name Pelican Cave originates from its past, when it served as a habitat for a flock of pelicans; "Bo Nau" closely resembles the Vietnamese word for pelican, “bo nong.”
The cave's entrance is expansive and adorned with hanging stalactites, creating the illusion of a creature's mouth. Inside, the cave spans around 200m² and features a generally level floor, interspersed with various stalactites and stalagmites.
